Xref announces the appointment of James Solomons as CFO


Human resources technology company Xref (ASX: XF1) today announced the appointment of James Solomons to the newly created position of chief financial officer. He joins Xref from cloud-based accountancy software company Xero where he continues as head of accounting, and will spend two days a week at Xref and three days a week at Xero. The appointment is effective immediately.

Mr Solomons joined Xero in August 2014 whilst as a partner at EFS Strategic, where he provided advice to SMEs as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. He is now a director and owner of Aptus Accounting and Advisory, which provides chartered accountancy services and advice related to expert use of Xero. A chartered accountant, chartered tax adviser and qualified cloud accountant, James is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, The Institute of Public Accountants Australia, The Institute of Financial Accountants, The Tax Institute of Australia, The International Association of Qualified Cloud Accountants, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a registered tax agent and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Macquarie University. He also completed a Diploma of Financial Planning, Financial Services from the Securities Institute and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
